Homeschool Italian software Level 2
Italian Level 2 with Audio Companion™ Homeschool Edition
What do I get?
For next-level language learners; Level 2 encourages students to further develop the language and grammatical skills learnt in Level 1. They’ll begin to describe experiences in their daily lives. For instance: giving and taking directions, telling time, ordering at a restaurant and taking part in social situations. As students discover Italian with Rosetta Stone Homeschool, built-in administrative tools assist parents in planning lessons, monitoring students’ achievements and generating progress reports.

Lesson Planning
Many parents are intimidated by the notion of teaching a foreign language at home. They may have never tried homeschooling before and the thought of structuring a course based around a language they don’t even speak can be overwhelming.
Rosetta Stone offers preset lesson plans to simplify the process and assist parents in enrolling students into a course tailored to their individual goals.
Rosetta Stone Homeschool Version 3 includes a Full Year Curriculum and alternative paths of study to help you accommodate your students’ language-learning requirements.
Full Year Curriculum
The Full Year Curriculum is designed to emulate, as closely as possible, a single academic study year. The curriculum follows a broad path, encompassing cultural activities from the Parent Guide with additional exercises to reinforce the students’ understanding. Though students are expected to advance at varying rates, this path is ideal for those wishing to cover a single level of Rosetta Stone over the course of a full academic year.
Alternate Paths of Study
With 11 paths of study available, selecting one to match your students’ learning goals won’t be difficult. Each path is built around a distinct skill focus – listening, speaking, reading or writing – often leading to accelerated learning and a much quicker journey through the program than with the Full Year Curriculum.
Testing
During their travels through the program, Rosetta Stone Homeschool tests each student at regular intervals. Tests follow recently completed exercises and are centred on measuring particular language abilities.
Integrated into Rosetta Stone is a feature called ‘Adaptive Recall’ - as students come to the conclusion of a lesson, they encounter a review exercise or test designed to assess what they’ve just learnt. Until the student gains an acceptable result in the test, it will continue to be repeated. Once the student scores highly enough, the review exercise will disappear.
Among the many invaluable aspects of Rosetta Stone Homeschool Version 3 is the Milestone Activity. Upon completion of a Unit of material, each student is required to tackle a Milestone Activity. Milestones require the student, using the microphone, to interact with an on-screen conversation. Without successfully completing the Milestone, students cannot advance to the next Unit in Rosetta Stone Homeschool Version 3.
Reporting
The built-in reporting tool grants parents access to detailed information about their students’ progress, such as:
- Exercises completed by the student
- Current lesson activity
- Exercises and test scores
- Time spent learning
Further information on lesson planning, testing and reporting, along with a sample schedule and cultural activities, is located in the Parent Guide bundled with Rosetta Stone Homeschool Version 3.
